Top Public Law Partners Join Liedekerke

Liedekerke substantially expands its “regulatory” and “infrastructure projects” practices through the arrival of two new partners.

The independent Belgian law firm Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick, is pleased to announce the significant extension of its regulatory and infrastructure teams through the arrival of two new partners.

François Tulkens is widely regarded as one of the best public law specialists in Belgium, with a practice that includes constitutional and administrative law, environmental law and urban planning, as well as media law.

Vincent Ost is a rising star in the field of government projects (in particular real estate and infrastructure) and, more generally, transactions between public authorities and private actors, notably public procurement and PPPs.

With these arrivals, Liedekerke's regulatory department – already distinguished in public procurement, environment and energy – is becoming more than ever a key player in the market, liaising between private clients and public authorities with a high level of expertise in all three regions of the country. The firm’s Real Estate and Regulatory practice group includes more than 30 lawyers and seven partners (Yves Delacroix, Dominique Devos, Alexandre Emond, Frank Judo, Vincent Ost, François Tulkens and Damien Verhoeven) as well as three counsel (Filip De Preter, Dirk Lindemans and Aurélien Vandeburie).

Liedekerke also enriches its multidisciplinary offering in project development, notably in the real estate, energy, transport and other collective infrastructure sectors.

Vincent Busschaert, managing partner, welcomes the new team: "I am delighted with this significant arrival which perfectly complements the firm’s existing teams. Regulatory is an area where specialised knowledge and in-depth experience are essential to the success of our clients’ projects. After the recent arrival of Freya Mareels as a debt finance partner, the firm’s growth confirms our strategic development responding to the needs of our clients.
