New job offer @Liedekerke: Midlevel M&A associate for our Corporate & Finance Finance practice group

Our Corporate & Finance practice group provides our clients with practical and business-wise solutions in all corporate and M&A matters, including in the fields of capital markets, corporate governance, reorganisations, private equity and venture capital, joint ventures, as well as corporate litigation.

The clients we serve encompass the whole spectrum of corporate players, ranging from sovereigns and public authorities, to start-ups, multinational corporations, PE and VC sponsors, family offices, senior managers, non-profit entities and foundations, as well as Belgian “blue chip” companies.

Our Corporate & Finance team is one of the largest in Belgium. By seamlessly combining their expertise and knowledge, our attorneys are able to quickly address our clients’ needs in corporate and M&A, whether these arise in Belgium or abroad. For cross-border transactions, they work on a daily basis with top-tier foreign law firms.

What we offer

As an associate in our team you will be involved in a broad range of matters for a varied client base, with a particular focus on M&A and PE/VC transactions. Your tasks will include drafting, reviewing and negotiating deal documentation, engaging with our clients and their counterparts, and managing matters more generally. Associates continuing their career within our Corporate & Finance practice group can expect:

  • highly interesting and challenging matters;
  • a multilingual, open and stimulating work environment;
  • direct client contact from day one;
  • a true commitment to your continued legal education and training;
  • attractive remuneration package.

What we expect

We are looking for bright associates who:

  • have 3 years or more of experience in the Corporate or M&A department of a national or international law firm (ideally with a focus on transactional matters);
  • have a first class Belgian law degree; additional education abroad (preferably in the UK or the USA) is clearly an asset;
  • have strong analytical skills;
  • have editorial fluency and impeccable spelling;
  • are eager to learn;
  • are client-oriented and think practically and commercially;
  • have excellent organisational skills and are able to meet tight schedules;
  • are team players yet are able to work independently;
  • are native French speaker, with a good command of English.
