The ICT Department

Our firm’s lawyers need a modern, efficient information and communications system. The ICT department plays a key role in this, providing a high level of technical assistance and setting up new applications. Analysis of new projects, hardware and software support, a user service desk, network administration and database management are also among the department’s essential services.


Job description

  • Provide IT helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received from internal customers by answering inbound telephone calls, serving end-users face-to-face on our support desk and handling electronic requests (mails)
  • Ensure the application and follow-up of the pre-established procedures
  • Draw up instructions and manuals, so that knowledge gained is stored and can easily be delivered to internal customers
  • Be the gatekeeper towards second line support and make sure all potential solutions are investigated fully before escalating to the second line team
  • Propose improvements for the support process

The problems can be very different and usually relate to:

-    Networks: wifi,...
-    Laptops
-    Applications: Office, Internet Explorer, Share Point
-    Telephony: Mobile, Skype, Android, iOS
-    Horizon

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • You are:

- customer oriented
- stress resistant
- flexible and willing to work in shifts (between 8 am and 6.30 pm).
- good in multitasking and setting priorities

  • You have a service-minded and solution-driven attitude
  • You like to work in a team, but can manage your own package autonomously
  • You work in an organized and structured way
  • You have a good understanding of technology and are willing to learn and extend your IT knowledge
  • You preferably already have 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • You have very good oral and written communication skills
  • You can easily communicate in Dutch and French and have good knowledge of English
  • You master the difficult-to-find combination of affinity with IT and strong communication skills: you can solve a technical problem and explain it in an understandable language
