Liedekerke's participation to the Princely mission in Japan - June 2012

Some thirty companies from Brussels participated to the economic mission headed by HRH Prince Philippe that ended on June 16.

Liedekerke has actively participated, namely by helping with the organization of the Brussels Investment & Export seminar “Brussels Expertise: EU Environment and Energy Regulation – Impact on Japanese Businesses”. Alongside speakers from the KUL, the European Commission, Athénora Consulting, Nippon Steel and our correspondents from Lex Mundi, Nishimura & Asahi, Bernard Deltour has given a lecture on “Towards a resource efficient Europe? An illustration with the evolution of EU legislation on waste”.

Philippe Malherbe gave a conference entitled “Recent Developments in Europe and in Belgium” at the joint session of the “Japan Tax Association” and the Japanese section of the “International Fiscal Association”.

Afterwards, he also spoke about the International taxation of corporate groups during the lecture of international tax law given by Professor Y. Massui at the University of Tokyo.
