Liedekerke recommended by the Global Competition Review

The competition practice at Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick scored a major coup in April when it lured former BCA head and Brussels Court of Appeals judge Stefaan Raes to its team; the move was by far the most significant in the Belgian competition bar in several years. Jules Stuyck continues to lead the practice; Raes now joins him in the partnership, backed by three associates. The firm is advising several collecting societies in a lawsuit against Telenet, claiming that the telecoms company is abusing its dominant position. The Flemish region of the country turned to the firm in a lawsuit against six defendants to win back damages from the lifts cartel. Meanwhile, Brussels Airlines turned to the firm to fight off illegal state aid claims alleged by Ryanair.
