Liedekerke announces the appointment of seven newly promoted Senior Associates

Liedekerke is delighted to announce the promotion of seven of its lawyers to the position of Senior Associate: Beatrice Van Tornout (International Arbitration), Bruno Aguirre (Employment), Dorien Taeymans (IP/IT), Esther Lanotte (International Arbitration), Jasper Bossuyt (Tax), Marie Heyvaert (Real Estate) and Michaël Houbben (Cassation).

The promotions reflect the firm's continued investment in talent and demonstrate our commitment to long-term growth and continued efforts in supporting our clients.

Beatrice Van Tornout acts as counsel and tribunal secretary in high stakes international and domestic commercial arbitrations as well as in court litigation, including the set-aside and enforcement of international arbitral awards.

Bruno Aguirre is part of the Labour & Employment Practice Group. He assists clients with regard to all aspects of individual and collective labor law and social security law.

Dorien Taeymans is part of the IP/IT team. Her practice is focused on data protection (in particular conducting data audits, privacy policies and GDPR compliance strategies), IT matters (such IT contracts, internet/social media presence, e-commerce, domain names), and intellectual property (in particular copyright, trademark law, company- and tradenames), both advisory and (pre-) litigious work (negotiations, legal proceedings and mediation).

Esther Lanotte is part of the International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Practice as well as Liedekerke’s African Practice. With a strong Public International Law background, she represents clients before State courts, as well as in international arbitration.

Jasper Bossuyt is part of the Tax Practice Group. He specialises in Belgian and international tax advisory and transaction work. He advises clients in their day-to-day tax affairs and assists them in domestic and cross-border corporate transactions and reorganisations. He also has experience in contentious matters.

Marie Heyvaert is part of the Regulatory and Real Estate Practice Group. Her work encompasses all aspects of real estate law.

Michaël Houbben is part of the Commercial contracts and Litigation Practice. As a member of the Court of cassation team, he has acquired a strong experience in handling proceedings in civil and tax matters before the Court of cassation. He also advises clients on general civil, commercial and corporate law issues in a large variety of sectors and handles litigation before Belgian courts in these matters.
