Competition Law Seminar - Avoiding competition pitfalls in the creation and operating of JVs

Join us for the second Competition Law Seminar ‘Avoiding competition pitfalls in the creation and operating of JVs’ which will take place on Thursday 14 January 2021.
Competition partner and merger control specialist Vincent Mussche will share valuable insights on how to set up and operate JV’s in a competition law compliant manner, in the usual “10 practical questions” format:
1. Is the JV full-functional?
2. When is a JV jointly controlled?
3. Are the merger control thresholds exceeded?
4. When can a JV benefit from simplified merger review?
5. How to deal with gun-jumping challenges for notifiable greenfield JVs?
6. When do we need clean teams to discuss JV plans?
7. What is the timeline for merger clearance?
8. Can the JV and its parents agree on non-competes?
9. When is there a need for firewalls?
10. Can the JV jointly purchase with its parents companies?
The webinar will start at 12.15 pm. After registration, a confirmation email with practical details and a unique link to join the conference will be sent to you. The presentation will be held in English. Due to the current restrictions, the on-site seminar will not take place for this edition.
