Céline Vanhecke is a member of the European and Competition Law Practice.

Céline has over three years of experience and focuses on several areas of EU law and competition law, including State aid, abuses of dominant position and anticompetitive agreements.

In the context of the COVID-19 outbreak, Céline has also advised and assisted companies on various State aid matters in particular with regard to their eligibility for support measures in the form of a compensation of the damage caused by the COVID-19 outbreak or, for example, in the form of public loans, State guarantee on loans, recapitalisation measures pursuant to the State aid Temporary Framework.

Céline holds a 2016 Master’s Degree in Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a 2017 Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Cambridge (UK) in European and International law. Her Master thesis on the European State aid rules regarding the public financing of activities of general economic interest such as social housing has been published in the Cahiers de droit européen (2016, 909).

Celine joined Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick in 2017.
