COLLOQUIUM – ‘RECOVERY OF LOCAL TAXES’ – 1 AND 9 MARCH 2010

Tax collectors at local authority, provincial and city level increasingly have to deal with individuals subject to collective debt settlement procedures and companies in financial difficulties.

Not only does this now cover companies in insolvency but also businesses that have sought sanctuary under the new Continuity of Enterprises Act. Practice tells us that the recovery of taxes in such cases is very difficult in the vast majority of cases owing to tax collectors being left with all too many unanswered questions.

This colloquium, hosted by a number of experts including Henk Verstraete, lawyer and partner with Liedekerke and also visiting lecturer in tax law, will provide answers to some of these questions.

Dates and places:
1 March (1.00-1.45 pm): Vlerick Management School, Reep 1, 9000 Ghent
9 March (1.00-1.45 pm): Perszaal Provinciehuis Leuven, Provincieplein 1, 3010 Leuven
