To strengthen its Marketing and Business Development team our Brussels office is looking to recruit a Marketing and Business Development Coordinator.

 

General Summary


The Marketing & Business Development Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and the execution of a variety of responsibilities in line with Liedekerke’s strategy.

 

Essential duties and responsibilites

 

  • Materials: Create and deliver RFPs and pitch materials by collecting content from the firm’s databases and attorney feedback. Develop customized materials for potential/existing client presentations at individual partner requests. Draft and update biographies and participate in orientation meetings to conduct CRM training.
  • Mailing lists: Use customer relationship software to manage mailing lists related to practice group and office marketing efforts. Monitor the accuracy and updating of client contacts/client team activity information within the firm’s customer relationship software system.
  • Research: Perform industry, potential and existing client, firm experience and competitor research as requested with the help of the Knowledge Management Team. Includes drafting, editing and proofreading materials, recommending changes and working with other business development staff to complete projects.
  • Credentialing: Assist with directory, award and ranking submissions by drafting and collecting information and maintaining a list of current recognition by practice group and geography. Prepare drafts for survey responses. Collect credentials from award submissions, new matter forms and client successes from attorneys and manage credentials database. Assist attorneys with the preparation of and during the Directories interviews.
  • Events/Seminars: plan, execute and attend events or seminars, including generating mailing lists, creating and distributing invitations, selecting external vendors, securing approvals, maintaining RSVP lists, creating name tags, project planning, business development targeting, debrief activities etc.
  • Firm website, Intranet, social networks: collect, draft, edit and facilitate content for firm website, social network(s) and Intranet.
  • Coordinate sponsorships.
  • Develop speaking and authorship opportunities with professional and trade organisations. Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks, as necessary.


Position Specifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred


Work experience

  • 2 to 6+ years of professional services marketing is preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Self-starter and strong problem solving skills
  • Strong detail orientation and tenacious follow-up skills
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing in a service-oriented environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (FR, EN & NL)
  • Experience with InterAction and/or DMS tool is a plus
  • Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database applications
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels in firm
  • Ability to set priorities and make appropriate judgements
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work in a team environment with customer service focus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion
