Liedekerke appoints 2 new partners, 1 counsel and 4 senior attorneys.

Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick has appointed 2 new Partners: Kristien Carbonez as resident partner in our London office and Pierre Desenfans as partner in our Tax team.

Kristien Carbonez is head of our London representative office. She liaises between London-based clients and law firm peers and the firm’s Brussels-based partnership on the full range of Belgian regulatory, corporate and commercial law issues consistent with the full-service nature of Liedekerke’s practice.

Pierre Desenfans is part of the Tax Group. He is an expert on real estate tax issues (real estate transactions, structuring real estate projects, taxation of real estate investment funds, etc.). His practice covers income taxes, VAT and registration duties. His activities cover both advisory, transactional and litigation work. With over 10 years of experience in real estate taxation, Pierre has an in-depth knowledge of the real estate sector, client needs and has a thorough grasp of financial and operational aspects.

Newly appointed counsel is Steven Peeters.

Steven Peeters is active in our Tax practice group. He focuses on advising clients regarding the tax aspects of transactions in the broad sense, and in particular in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, (re)financing transactions and corporate restructurings. Steven’s practice also entails dispute resolution and controversy with respect to these areas. His experience includes assisting clients across sectors, notably in the industrial, financial and private equity sectors.

Liedekerke also appointed Benjamin Pierard, Charles Poncelet, Tim Souverijns and Maxime Vanderstraeten as Senior Attorneys.
