Roel Fransis
Roel Fransis is active in the broad scope of insolvency law (bankruptcy, loans and security rights, attachments, company reorganisations, directors’ liability, etc., including private international law) and banking and finance law. His practice covers advisory work, lawsuits and transactional work.
He is also a researcher at the Institute for Insolvency Law (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), where he is preparing a doctoral thesis (PhD) on negative security rights, with particular focus on contractual subordination. He won the Jura Falconis and A.P.R. prizes in 2005.
Roel Fransis holds a summa cum laude degree in law (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, 2005). He joined the firm in August 2005 and forms part of the Corporate & Finance group.
