Joe Sepulchre

Joe Sepulchre specializes in international contract law as well as international litigation and arbitration.

A dual Canadian-Belgian national, his bi-cultural education and experience in firms in England, the United States and Belgium have brought him to focus his practice on international contracts, arbitration and dispute resolution.

Joe Sepulchre has wide experience in pleading before ordinary and arbitral courts, both in Belgium and abroad.

He has represented (or acted against) various Belgian and foreign companies and groups, Middle Eastern banks and banking associations, States and State enterprises in litigation and/or arbitration (Ad Hoc, ICC and ICSID). He has notably assisted car manufacturers and multinationals in the areas of logistics and petrochemicals, in negotiating and concluding major joint-venture contracts and setting up distribution networks.

Joe Sepulchre has for many years actively participated in the International Bar Association, notably within the framework of the International Litigation Committee, of which he is the past chairman for Belgium. He is also the past vice-chair of the Committee's International Conventions and Treaties section and the past vice-chair of the American Bar Association's International Commercial Transactions Committee.

He is the immediate past chair of the LEX MUNDI Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution committee (LADR).

He joined Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick as a partner in 1999. He teaches (in English) at the Law Faculty of FUNDP university (Namur) and he is the author of numerous articles and chapters in legal publications.
