Aube Wirtgen specializes in constitutional and administrative law. She focuses primarily on judicial control of administrative action, government liability, public enterprises, public procurement, the public office, local government law, educational law and disciplinary law.

She regularly pleads before the civil courts as well as before the Constitutional Court, the Council of State and other administrative bodies and courts.

Aube Wirtgen holds a law degree and a doctor of laws from the Vrije universiteit Brussel. She is professor of law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Ecole Royale Militaire, where she teaches methodology of law, constitutional and administrative law.

Aube Wirtgen is the author of numerous publications and is a member of the editorial board of different legal journals in the field of public law. She is also member of the board of the Gennootschap Advocaten Publiekrecht.
