Pieter Bogaerts

Pieter Bogaerts primarily does advisory work in relation to banking law. His activities cover assistance to lenders and borrowers in setting up (syndicated) financing operations and their security scheme. He also advises on areas such as consumer credit and leasing operations, insolvency proceedings and the prudential oversight for banking activities.

Pieter holds a law degree from the University of Antwerp (2000). Before that, he spent one term abroad in the framework of the Erasmus/Socrates programme at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

He also has an LL.M. in US Legal Studies from the Golden Gate University, San Francisco (2001), where he focused on securities and banking law.

He joined Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick in 2001 and works as an associate within the banking, debt finance and restructuring team.
