Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick has just been named as the “Best Benelux Lawfirm” of 2010 by the prestigious jury of the International Legal Alliance Summit Awards (ILASA) at a gala held in Paris on 3 June 2010, equal first along with the firm of Arendt & Medernach (Luxembourg).

Hakim Boularbah, Joe Sepulchre and Charlotte Marquet have contributed to the Dispute Resolution 2010 edition of the international legal guide Getting the deal through, by writing the chapter about Belgium.

An article entitled “Cross-border Mergers”, whose various subject-headings have been co-authored by Thierry Tilquin, Julie-Anne Delcorde, Philippe Malherbe, Daniel Garabedian and Paul Geerebaert, has just appeared in the latest edition of the legal journal “Cahier du juriste/Cahier van de jurist”.

The European Commission, seeking to boost cross-border trade and to ensure strong rights for consumers, convened a new expert group to propose ways to improve contract law in the European Union. The group is composed of 18 contract law experts, consumer representatives and lawyers, amongst whom Liedekerke lawyer and partner, Jules Stuyck.
